Description
A 50th-anniversary tribute to the Silver Snoopy Award, presented to OMEGA by NASA’s astronauts in 1970 in recognition of the brand’s contribution to space exploration — including the Apollo 13 mission.
The 42 mm stainless steel case is paired with a blue coated-nylon strap, embossed with the Apollo 13 flight path on its lining. The silver dial carries blue PVD hour markers and hands, with a silver Snoopy medallion embossed on the blue sub-dial at 9 o’clock.
Through the sapphire caseback, a metallised view of the far side of the Moon frames an animated scene: Snoopy in his Command and Service Module travels on a ‘magical’ hand that turns whenever the chronograph runs, while a disc of the Earth rotates once a minute in step with the small-seconds hand.
Powered by the hand-wound OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861 and delivered in a special presentation case.
